Lately, I’ve noticed that I have really be drawn to black clothing and jewelry. The vast majority of my wardrobe is black, I’m not complaining, I think black is the most flattering color. A few weeks ago, I made a simple necklace that had three round black lava beads on it. The necklace inspired me to make a similar looking bracelet. To not be matchy matchy, like a jewelry gift set, I decided to add more chain to the bracelet.
- Delicate chain
- Lobster claw closure
- 2 small jumprings
- 1 large jumpring
- 1 looped headpin
- Wire cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Wrap the chain around your wrist 2 ½ times and cut. Take your length of chain and cut it into 6 pieces. I did this by cutting the chain in half, then each half into thirds.
- Thread the beads onto the headpin and secure by creating a loop with the remaining headpin wire headpin.
- Open one of the headpin loops enough to thread the chain on. Thread 3 pieces of chain onto the headpin loop, and then close the loop. Repeat with the 3 other pieces of chain and the other loop on the headpin.
- Take the 2 small jumprings and twist them open. On one jumpring, thread on the lobster claw and 3 pieces of chain. On the other, thread on the large jumpring and the remaining 3 pieces of chain.
I have always liked the look of lava rock, but you can use any beads that you like, be creative!!
